ELECTROLYTES WIN AT NATIONAL LITERATURE FESTIVAL
sweet taste of victory: after winning at crescent girls school
It was a moment to be proud of on 12th July 2008. Our pioneer batch of Upper Secondary Literature students took part in the National Literature Festival. The festival, which has actually been going on since 2004 saw the participation of 65 secondary schools from all over Singapore.
For the competition, our teams who collectively called ourselves "ELECTROLIT" had worked hard and put themselves through intensive preparation during the June holidays where they actually trained from June 9 to June 29. In the subsequent weeks; leading up to the actual competition, the teams also did not go down on their debating stamina and the teams even worked uncomplainingly after school hours at polishing their points of argument and getting their facts of argument right.

Our three teams from West Spring comprising of Team 1: Amirul B Muhd Yunos, Soh Lian Kai, Umar B Tahir, Emerald Sia (Reserve) Team 2: Zafran Anaqi B Zaini, Jasmin Teh, Zainal Ariffin, Thong Sherwen (Reserve) and Team 3: Jazlyn Khoo, Kenneth Lim, Liu Yongxiong, Syazwan Baharuddin (Reserve) were all eager and enthusiastic to take on their opponents despite moments of anxiety and nervousness. While all three teams fought equally hard, two of our teams eventually emerged winning teams against their opposing schools.
We would like to congratulate all team members, all non-participants from the Sec.3 Literature class of 2008 and even our strong supporters from West Spring who had made all the difference in bringing up the winning momentum during the competition. Go ELECTROLIT, Go WSSS! The best is yet to be.
